02.06.2010, rive del fiume Coghinas in comune di Perfugas (Sardegna), lungo circa 10 mm. Sembrerebbe un Chrysotoxum, ma non delle specie che ho già trovato in Sardegna. L'ornamentazione ricorda quella di C. verralli, ma è specie che in Sardegna non dovrebbe esserci. Una variazione cromatica di C. cautum? |

Thank you Ovidiu. If it is a Sphaerophoria, the specimens I believed a Melanostoma (look here) could be the male. They flied in the same locality 3 days after. |

Ciao Mauro, bella foto! Per la determinazione concodo con Cosmln, credo anche che tu abbia sovrastimato la taglia. Le femmine di Sphaerophoria non sono quasi mai determinabili su fotografia. |

You are welcome, about that Melanostoma I don't have what to object. Male of Sphaerophoria looks completely different, see here an example, Sphaerophoria scripta (the most common species, at least here in Romania). cosmln |
