I choose "Hemiptera" but I am not sure.
They are very small (smaller than 1 mm) Living on a quercus acorn..

May be the red caterpillars are belong to the adults?.
I wonder what they are.

I rather believe that the red ones are predator Diptera larvae. In my opinion, the small ones are Psyllidae, but they could be as well Aphididae. |
