Hello :hi: , what do you think about this one? I was thinking about Protosmia sp., but I am not sure. I think there is something that looks like a carinate margin there, on the inner part of the ventral hind coxae (please see the photo). Also, in Hoplitis, the clypeus and mandibles should be covered in dense pilosity (and it's not the case here). This alone do not rule out Hoplitis sp.?

A mio avviso le mandibole e le linee parapsidali sono da Hoplitis.

Concordo con Pietro, è decisamente una Hoplitis, probabilmente dalle parti di H. leucomelana.
I agree with Pietro, this is definitely an Hoplitis, probably H. leucomelana or something similar.

The carina you observed is always present. Protosmia has an additional carina visible in ventral view, along the inner margin of the coxa.

This it true, but not always. Some Hoplitis, like leucomelana, claviventris and related, have relatively bare face.

I see :D , thanks a lot for your help with this one and for explanations :lov2: :birra: . It is not allways easy to understand the key, when no specimens for comparison is available for me :hi:
