It's a Chalybion s.s. species but another different species than the one's mentioned for Europe in this work http://www.academia.edu/9299536/The_ori ... Sphecidae_ So it would be very interesting to identify it on all the material collected cause many species have dark brown wings and many species are sometimes collected out of original countries of their diffusion.

Dear Ivo, Giorgio is right. It could be another alien specie of Chalybion, i. e. C. californicum, not yet recorded from Europe. In fact, I have in my collection a single female of this american Chalybion collected from "Dalmatia: Makarska, Veprik" in 2013 (not very far from your locality) and I was just waiting for more evidence... your specimen (that looks like a male) could well belong to the same species. It is very interesting. I'm willing to see it (the actual specimen), if you agree, to check the identification. It will be fine, anyway, to look for more specimens of this wasp in those localities (perhaps you can do that, next summer)! Ciao! Maurizio |
