Spesso mi sono chiesto, un pronoto cosi ornamentale, ben disegnato nei particolari oltre ai caratteri di distinzione tra specie diverse trova anche qualche altro riferimento? Esempio mimetizzarsi nell'ambiente con più facilità? Mi rendo conto che sia una domanda banale ma non conoscendo bene questo tipo di insetti mi è sorta questa curiosità, pensando poi che di rumore o meglio dire di suoni ne emettono tanti, quindi facili anche da localizzare per altri animali predatori.
