# 2780 captured in the forest of Montmorency - Cne : St-Leu-la-forêt (Dépt. Val d'Oise - France) - august 08, 1993

- Fore and hindwings with a clearly defined brownish apical margin
Typical form : Thorax and Abdomen entirely black
Notable var. :
- varians : Black abdomen with 1 to 5 pairs of yellow lights spots , almost white.
- sylvarum : Black abdomen with at least 2 tergites median red sinks.
- griffini : Abdomen entirely reddish-yellow.
- pallens : Pale abdomen almost entirely yellow.

The photo is not good because of a bad lighting, the abdomen is much clearer (red is very inconspicuous). I could not improve it with the computer.
