Here a photo made by Mr. Nick Upton, that it sent on the forum Hymis.de .
On 16 VII 2011, the insect was found on umbel flowers in a clearing in pine woods at cerca 1400m. above Lake Bohinj, Julian Alps (Slovenia).
I identified this Symphyta, it acts of Abia aurulenta Sichel 1856.
The author of the photo gave me the authorization to show it on our forum.

The characteristics of this Abia are:
- Body with strong coppered reflections.
- The 2 first antennal segments are black, and the following red-brownish.
I could not determine the sex.
One finds it with middle altitude, in France and Italia.
