Hi! Could you please see if the pigidium is covered by the elytras? It remembers me the genus Cartorhynchites, but I am not sure.

I'm quite convinced this is a Cartorhynchites (if the pigidium is uncovered than this specimen is of the tribe Deporaini, and it would be very difficult to identify) so I tried to find the species. Looking at Voss keys I didn't find any similar species: in fact this has elongated body, a feature present in only few species (all not listed for Indonesia). So I searched for works by Legalov. He recently described a new species from Bali (a bit far from N Sumatra...), that is very similar: Cartorhynchites baliensis. Maybe it isn't the same, but we are near. Let's see what Silvano thinks (a proposito, tu ne hai in collezione? Perchè le elitre di questo sono molto allungate, anche rispetto alla specie di Legalov e vorrei capire come sono in generale. Nella monografia di Voss c'è un disegno di uno quasi quadrato). Ps: without disturb, could you make also a lateral photo? I'm curios. Ora che guardo meglio noto differenze anche nel pronoto con C. baliensis. Non penso possa dipendere dal sesso, ma comunque: potresti contare il numero di spine in fondo alle tibie? Now that I look better I see differences also in the pronotum beetween yours and C. baliensis. Could you count the number of spines at the base of the tibiae? So we can see the sex.
