Dear colleagues,

This specimens really looks like Catoxantha bonvoiloirii Deyrolle, 1861, but I thought this species only occurs in the Himalayan region.

Any help will be appreciated !

Hi Jan,

According to Catalogue of life, there is a single subspecies of opulenta : borneensis Kurosawa, 1993

And Catoxantha pierrei Descarpentries, 1948 is a good species with one subspecies : chunrami Kurosawa, 1993

I don't find the description of pierrei... If someone can help me ?

I have found the description HERE : C. pierrei can be separated from other species by its green pronotum with a black-dark median line well delimited with blue-violet reflections.
Moreover, pierrei hasn't black spots on the sternites.
