I received some beetles from some malaise traps that were set in Finland. Here is an Agrilus, unfortunately it's a female and I couldn't prepare it better because it was killed in alcohol :(....the lenght is almost 7 mm. Any ideas? :)

I don't think so. A. betuleti is only 4.0-6.5 mm long, and also its habitus is different:

Not so different!

Really, I can't be sure, because I don't know well this species (it doesn't live here), but I don't see so many differences between this specimen and A. betuleti.

Gianfranco is in South America, now. But there are at least other 4-5 Buprestidologists on the Forum. Or we must wait Gianfranco is back.

A. betuleti is known also from Finland (see e.g. Catalogue of Palearctic Coleoptera, Vol. 3), so it's possible that this is it - but length and morphological characteristics of Alexandru's specimen does not seem to me somehow...
