This is from the Rhodope Mountains, near Pamporovo, Western Bulgaria, 19 June 2014. I think family Stratiomyidae. Any advice welcome! Matthew

Yes, you got the family right. Unfortunately I cannot read the wing veins, nor detect the presence of spines on scutellum's margin, so I cannot say anything more. If you have other pictures in which some of theese details are visible, submit them. |
