Buongiorno!

I don't have much hope for this one. There so many Danacea-species....

But most of them seem to be distributed only rather locally. In the Fauna Europaea there are only two species listed for the Balearic islands: D. pygmaea and D. ziczac. The latter has a ziczac-pattern on the elytra. I tried to get the original description of D. pygmaea but couldn't find it. Does someone have the description? Would it fit? I have two specimens with length 2,7 and 2,8 mm.

Grazie
Michael

Hello, yes that's it. D. (Danacea) pygmaea Schaufuss, 1869.

Grazie per la conferma.

The original description of Schaufuß doesn't explain much. For me it would have been impossible to decide.
