Buongiorno! In may in Cefalù (Sicilia) I collected several Attalus specimens, of which some have a very clear black band on the pronotum, as I expected from Attalus sicanus. But the other half has an all red pronotum as this one here. I labeled them "Attalus cyaneus", but then I saw in this forum, that A. sicanus also occurs without black spot. What is the difference between them? Perhaps color of tibiae? And then I saw that Attalus dalmatinus is also listed for Sicily and also looks very similar. Length is 3,8 mm. Grazie Michael Allegati:

hi, it is A. sicanus, because of yellow tibiae (dark in cyaneus). Pronotum can be partly dark or entirely red, particularly in females.
