Qui la scelta si restringe a due specie molto simili tra loro: Acmaeodera (Acmaeodera) edmundi edmundi Obenberger, 1935 Acmaeodera (Acmaeodera) pilosellae syriaca Abeille de Perrin, 1900 Rispetto alla prima ha il protorace più metallico (i mei esemplari lo hanno nero o quasi nero, ma questo è un carattere che nella vicina pilosellae, ad esempio, varia da individuo ad individuo La ssp. syrica di pilosellae non l'ho mai vista, ma le altre sottospecie differiscono dall'esemplare in foto per la colorazione elitrale, che è invece identica a quella di edmundi In conclusione, forse è meglio aspettare il parere del nostro "Acmaeodera", anche se io propendo per la prima (edmundi) |

Hi Claudio & boys, think its sure Acmaeodera (s.str.) pilosellae pilosellae (Bonelli,1812)- Its catched on Slunfeh - its on border with Hatay (TR) - its common A.pilosellae sure (typical). A.(s.str.) pilosellae syriaca have little size, maybe to 6 mm max. elonged body, and more enlarged last 5 articles of antennae (male)... Also elytral coloration have in the majority broken to small dots, composed near suture. Pronotum and elytro-sutural coloration are more chocolate - brownish, A.pilosellae pilosellae have it with rouge or steel shining, with longer white hair... Species A.edmundi, A.wethloi, A.pilosellae persica are quite other

Note about Palaearctic catalogue´s presented distribution of known species (Acmaeoderini and other ): Those countries of particular species in the catalog are not entirely complete. It is quite normal for the species they catch in neighboring countries than indicated in the catalog. For example, I hunted iranian species Acmaeodera wethloi (A.pilosellae group) in middle Turkey !!! Its so normal that f.e. A.elegans miribella described from Israel will be catched also in egyptian, syrian or jordanian border parts of country...
