Today I was in the field close to Budapest where last year I've found Anthaxia chevrieri (=funerula) on the flowers of Adonis vernalis. I was with a friend and we found 2 male specimens! They proved to be the first jewel beetle of this year. The weather was shiny but not so warm (18°C): One of the two beetle: Luckily he was not quick, so I could take some close-ups: Happy Easter, Nikola Rahmé |
