A couple more geometridae - also from Catalonia late October. A bit worn but maybe still possible to identify. Sorry for the inundation - the site is excellent! Matthew

I think the second photo depicts Scotopteryx peribolata (Hübner, [1813]) but is very spoiled and then I'm not sure

Dear Claudio, I think you might be right! I have looked in the plates in Leraut's book on geometridae of Europe and it is quite close to ssp. culoti found in Spain. Thank you. Matthew

Regarding the first photo, I think might be a few individuals belonging to the genus Euphyia sp. or Xanthorhoe sp. - Geometridae Larentiinae, wing pattern with a little abnormal.

I found a vague resemblance to a specimen present here(simply prepared), this is Euphyia adumbraria, but I do not know 'if the species is present in Spain

Let's see if Paolo or Raniero go around here to give us their views

Per quello che può valere (non so quanto sia aggiornata), questa è la mappa di distribuzione di Euphyia adumbraria secondo FAUNAEUR. La Spagna è comunque lontana dall'areale.

I've just had confirmation from Victor Redondo in Spain that the top picture is of Nebula ibericata (with the English name "Spanish cloud")

And yes, it's a Nebula ibericata (Staudinger, 1871)
