It is not my photo.It is captured by a friend from Ankara. I will ask him if he can find it again.Is there any possibility of it being a new species?

trapping on trees with beer and banana is easy to capture Velleius dilatatus.... Could be the same for this specimen?

I also asked recently an expert (who is now mastering) of this subfamily from Turkey who also do her researchs in Ankara,Hacettepe University (which means that she probably found this species).Now I am waiting for an answer.

Elongatus, subparallelus, supra fere planatus, prothorace magis convexo, niger, nitidus, elytris abdomineque subtus et lateribus supra testaceo-castaneis, abdomine medio minus nitido, tibiis apice tarsisque rubiginosis et rubiginoso-pubescentibus;...

Ce magnifique Slaphylinide, qui constitue une découverte des plus intéressantes pour la faune européenne, a été trouvé au nombre de deu individus par notre collègue, M. Amédéc Alléon, aux environs de Varna, sur la falaise, dans un sentier au milieu des vignes. Il forme une nouvelle coupe générique bien voisine des Velleius, mais distincte par les antennes simples, très atténuées vers l’extrémité, à articles obconiques, épais, la tete plus large, avec les yeux plus petits, plus courts, le corselet moins dilaté et moins fortement arrondi sur les côtés qui ne présentent de pores sétigères qu’en avant, l’écusson plus petit et l’abdomen à côtés largement rebordés, tranchants, légèrement arqués, avec les angles des segments plus pointus, n’ayant qu’une ou deux soies; les palpes maxillaires sont aussi plus épais. Les quatre tibias postérieurs offrent de fines épines, et les deux tarses antérieurs sont fortement dilatés."
