Il genere Thorectes è stato smembrato in altri generi da Lòpez-Còlon.

Per uniformità con le altre disussioni del forum proporrei di taxarlo però come
Thorectes intermedius (O.G. Costa, 1839) - Geotrupidae

Vero,però se ci si riferisce a questo bel lavoro,che è qui sul forum,per darci aiuto anche a determinare Scarabeidi...credo sia più giusto lasciare Jekelius,da qualche parte bisogna cominciare anche ad abituarsi alle nuove nomenclature...o no,visto anche che nel forum già ci sono parecchi Jekelius
Capisco poi risulti problematico immagazzinare le discussioni,immagina a cambiar di volta in volta il genere o anche tutti i cartellini nelle collezioni... :to:

Sul Forum è relativamente semplice cambiare il nome di una specie. Lo sarebbe molto di più se avessimo la checklist anche degli Scarabaeoidea (Lucanidae a parte, che già abbiamo, ma sono pochissimi), perché basterebbe cambiare il nome una sola volta nel database, e cambierebbe il titolo di tutte le discussioni.
Cambiare il nome negli esemplari in collezione è un altro discorso. Nella mia sono ancora Geotrupes intermedius, neanche Thorectes!
