Credevo di aver determinato correttamente questo piccolino come Mecinus janthinus (Germar,1821),però dopo averlo estratto e confrontato i genitali con quelli di Mecinus janthiniformis (Tosevski & Caldara,2011) sono più propenso per il secondo. There are in collection here, specimens of both species. The comparison of aedeagi, seems to give very ambiguus results. But a good difference, is the rows of "scales" on elytral interstriae: 1 row on M. janthinus, 2 rows on M. janthiniformis. Here, thanks to the good quality of the photo, it is clear that there is only 1 row. So, Mecinus janthinus (as I think...). Ciao from Athens, George |
