In Turchia, sotto corteccia e assieme a diversi buprestidi raccolsi anche questo esemplare che ho scongelato ieri e che non ricordavo di avere; è lungo circa 3 mm:

Bello, mi ricordo che me lo mostrasti sul campo... ne avrò preso uno anch'io? Ho ancora un po' di roba in freezer. Mi ricordo perfettamente il bosco, a pochi passa dalla scarpata piena di papaveri arancioni... bei ricordi

This is Tetratoma crenicollis Bdi., 1877. The photograph is somewhat blurry, but with a little effort, a distinct pubescence is visible on the elytra (in contrast to T. ancora). In the catalogues, this species is recorded only from Cyprus, but there is an old article (from the era of Reitter ) that mentions it from western Turkey (Smyrna region). Unfortunately, I cannot locate this article right now. However, I have collected T. crenicollis also in Greece as well—twice in my life (at the Aegean islands). So, the distribution of Tetratoma crenicollis is : Cyprus, Turkey, Greece. |
