Sample stacks

The following are all my own work, you have my permission to use them to test this or any other program, but not to publish them for financial gain.

CZ5/Stacks/Flyleg.zip 186kb A stack of 9 microscope pictures the light background varies a lot in brightness between shots.

CZ5/Stacks/Ladybird.zip 160kb 4 frames of a hemispherical beetle with a shiny surface.

CZ5/Stacks/Leaf.zip 701kb 11 frames steadily undulating surface with hairs, detail to edges, one frame needs resizing badly.

CZ5/Stacks/Mite.zip 305kb 8 frames some of the limbs move, center of body hard to render

CZ5/Stacks/Mothwing.zip 466kb 20 frames low contrast in many areas

CZ5/Stacks/Onion.zip 924kb 20 frames should be easy, strong detail right to edges.

CZ5/Stacks/Salt.zip 480kb 11 frames High contrast, watch for out of focus edges showing.

CZ5/Stacks/SpiderMouthparts.zip 152kb 4 frames easy

CZ5/Stacks/Weevil.zip 163kb 3 frames Dull surface, high contrast, make sure antennae line up propperly.

CZ5/Stacks/Wing.zip 561kb 17 frames, is it possible to get the large bristles at the bottom right?   Hint in this case 'Do Average and Filter' is best.

More Stacks from other sources

If anyone objects to links to their pages being given hear let me know and I will remove them immediately.

CZ5/Stacks/Beads.zip 2,771kb 8 frames (appears with the kind permission of Lin Evans) the frames do not align properly, and there are specular highlights to contend with, hint 'Remopve Islands' followed by 'Low Pass' filtering of the depthmap..

Columbine Flower can be found on Rik Littlefields website, watch out for the shifting background and the moving flower.

Mimetite A mineral from France stack supplied by Jean-Marc Johannet, 553kb, 7 frames remember to 'Reverse Order' as the top frame in the stack is the farthest away.

Helicon Focus see the samples, remember to omit the "result" frame when stacking, the Material4 stack must have the Frames sorted to work properly in CombineZ.

Prof. John Hart has some sample stacks, link at the bottom of his review page.

Microfocus has a couple of sample stacks of A Fly.   The closeup one proves difficult for the 'Do Stack' function, I got a reasonable result by 'Automatic' aligning then 'Save Work' then using a 'High Pass' filter to sharpen all frames then 'Find Detail' and 'Fill Gaps' then 'Reload All Frames'.   Leave the out of focus frames at the top and bottom of these stacks out, they spoil the result.
