It's look like Oxystoma pomonae (Fabricius, 1798)

 Yes, is seems as Oxystoma pomonae, but Corylus isn´t host plant of this sp.

Thanks! There are many of these apionid in a hazel, so, for sure it feeds on Corylus. It's another species or just the hazel is just a not recorded host plant? |

I think, that Corylus isn´t host plant for none of Apionidae. Apionidae often fly up to trees (eg. Quercus etc.) |

In big numbers too? The forest was dominated by ashes (Fraxinus excelsior). |

Yes, in big number. Often, when is dry and hot weather. |
