Checking male antennomera is a simple way to identify species in the group fulgurans/thalassophila/podolica (from North-Western Balcans to West Europe): - all dark (greenish), metallic → Anthaxia fulgurans - first 5 segments metallic, 6-11 testaceous → Anthaxia thalassophila - first 4 segments metallic, 5-11 testaceous → Anthaxia podolica (usually one side of testaceous antennomera is more or less metallic, however, especially in the 5th and 6th) |
