Comunque, quando chiedevo se era un effetto della foto non intendevo che fosse causata dal fotoritocco, bensì dal tipo di illuminazione. Ho notato che quando si usa una luce molto diffusa il risultato, dopo lo stacking, specialmente se poi si aumenta leggermente il contrasto per ridurre l'effetto di appiattimento dato dalla luce diffusa, è che le bestie sembrano più lucide di quanto in effetti non siano, quasi come se fossero bagnate o laccate. A me, ad esempio, è successo con alcuni tenebrionidae, del tutto involontariamente.

Si conosco il problema, ma con il Twin Light si riesce a evitare abbastanza bene. In ogni caso ci vogliono alcuni scatti di prova per la messa a punto degli illuminatori e rispettivi diffusori.
Ti confermo in ogni caso che questi Dorcadion sono lucidi cosi.

Regardless of how the species from the photograph can be determined "at this moment", I agree with Zdenko that the group "cinerarium" requires review and rearranging. Situation in which Lazarev is describing species of this group from a location separated from the typical locality of P.cinerarium population, may raise various questions. Even more so, since Georgia likely has populations of P.cinerarium or very similar species.

I didnt want to say anything, but I would NOT put it into the specie level just like that...it really aint that easy to do it just from the photo, even the photo is in extreme good quality. The other thing is Lazarev. Well...like most of the authors from " the East ", he is an splitter. Cinerarium group has a great distribution, so we cant talk about localizations of some species ( now I mean new described ones by Lazarev ). I have read that description...well..." I wouldnt put my hands into the fire " for this. But like I said, for detemination of Dorcadions and understanding their bionomy, taxonomy, etc is needed a good knowledge of its distribution, demands on the place/environment, etc and collect this or that specie personally and see how it is, what they require...

Personally I would leave it as Dorcadion from " cinerarium group "

I know that this short video of living Specimen will not be helpfull, just for fun...
