Much rare than the nominate form, found near the Black Sea shore.

I have never seen this subspecies.
What must we check to differentiate it from typical specimens?

I have only 2 ponticus in my collection, Cosmin has collected more and gave me one, I have collected one too. They appear slender and more cylindrical then the nominate subspecies. I will attach aedoeagus differences from Niehuis M. 1989. Meliboeus (Meliboeoides) adlbaurei n. sp., ein neuer Prachtkäfer aus dem Vorderen Orient (Coleoptera: Buprestidae). Mitt. int. ent. Ver., 13(3/4): 121-131.
