Agrilus cyanescens Ratzeburg 1837
Isn't it the valid name?

Looking for these subgenera of Agrilus I found this site: http://www.zin.ru/Animalia/Coleoptera/eng/bup_rus.htm. I have found this name there and now is very confusing, because the scientific names can change even 2 times in an year for the same species. As well as I know, the rule of the scientific nomenclature is the first name is the valid name, however it refers at the same species before getting synonymised. And 1790 is earlier than 1837. On the other hand, I am not sure even if all of the specialists accept these subgenera proposed by Alexeev or some specialists still accept the old nomenclature.

Actually it is Agrilus (Dentagrilus) cyanescens (Ratzeburg 1837).

Agrilus caeruleus was described as Buprestis, so it's possible this name was substitued with cyanescens for homonymy with another species of Buprestis.
