Quando l'ho scovato sotto una pietra ho pensato "toh, finalmente un tenebrionide!"...poi sotto la lente ho guardato le elitre e mi sono venuti i primi dubbi... e visto che non trovo niente di simile mi sa che ho proprio sbagliato famiglia, vero :?

Lunghezza ca. 17 mm.

Si tratta di Ablattaria laevigata (Fabricius, 1775) - Silphidae :ok:

La differenza principale sta nelle elitre. In Ablattaria non presentano coste evidenti e sono molto convesse nella parte posteriore, in Silpha presentano coste ben evidenti(1 o 3 a seconda della specie) e sono più appiattite ;)

Con questa, che gusto c'è? :D Domani vi invio una foto di un Silphidae di identificazione un po' meno immediata (se non vengo bloccato fino a tardi per gli esami).
