This one is amazing. Collected on Tamarix sp. in oasis. The size is 8-12mm.

At the moment the situation of various species of the genus Tituboea from North Africa is very critical. There are many sensu auctore that do not allow to give a correct name for the species. So it comes to Tituboea sp. (may be T. fasciata, but there is no certainty of this).

Through the courtesy of Sdenko, I had the opportunity to examine some specimens of this Tituboea. There are some characters that do not correspond to those typical of T. reymondi. For example the size. Kocher (original description) examined 13 specimens with a size between 5 and 6 mm. The species photographed measure about 8 to 11 mm, then it is a large species. I think it would be better to treat it as Tituboea sp.. I also exclude T. fasciata, because it has (according to the authors) the fore femur basally deeply emarginated. The species photographed has the femurs not emarginated. The true identity of T. fasciata (described as variety of T. paykulli) has never been investigated.
