Ciao a tutti,
vi invio 4 Zygaena che ho raccolto a Soglio CH in Val Bregaglia, a circa 1000 m di quota il 15 luglio di quest'anno.

Mi confermate o meno l'identificazione?

Questa prima è Zygaena romeo?

Grazie, gentilissimo.

Come faccio a distinguere questa specie da Z. osterodensis? E' possibile anche dalla morfologia esterna senza esame dell'armatura genitale o questa è necessaria?

Sicuramente sono specie esteriormente assai simili: complessivamente però, le macchie rosse delle ali anteriori distinte e non fuse tra loro, l'apice delle ali anteriori arrotondato e il margine nero delle ali posteriori, relativamente ampio, sono caratteri che a mio avviso confermano la tua determinazione.

p.s. ovviamente è possibile rinvenire esemplari 'dubbi': e allora l'esame dei caratteri interni diventa necessario.
