se non ho capito male si tratta di Melitaea athalia nevadensis presente in sicilia che si distingue dalla Melitaea athalia athalia NON presente in Sicilia

Non so dirti a che ssp. appartengono gli ex della Sicilia, certo è che se ho ben capito anch'io a parte gli ex delle Alpi/dolomiti e poi verso est sono M. athalia tutto il resto in Italia è M. nevadensis.

Verbreitung

Der Wachtelweizen-Scheckenfalter fliegt von Japan über die Waldgebiete Russlands und der Nordtürkei bis Norditalien (Alpen), Frankreich, Südostengland und Norwegen. Auf der Iberischen Halbinsel, in Südostfrankreich und großen Teilen Italiens wird er durch Melitaea nevadensis ersetzt.

Ero arrivato alla "mia" conclusione aiutandomi con le mappe di Fauna Europea che esclude la M. athalia athalia dalla Sicilia mentre le da entrambe per l'Italia peninsulare.

Da quel che mi risulta la athalia dovrebbe essere presente solo nella punta nord-orientale dell'Italia: Veneto e Friuli-Venezia Giulia, mentre la nevadensis nel resto del territorio
