I can not decide, this animal in the shape looks like Acmaeodera biseriata, but drawing corresponds Acmaeodera saxicola ... I think it is necessary to extract out the genital... My hot tip is Acmaeodera (Acmaeotethya) saxicola saxicola Spinola,1838

It's probably A. saxicola, but A. biseriata is very similar.

Maurizio, Ivegot not specimen of A.saxicola with 2 pronotal yellow spots.... from whole localities around meditterranean are without spots on pronotum... What situation is in Your collection ?
My A.saxicola: ( BG, TR, GR, AL, CG, BH, CY, LE, IS, SY, JO, GR: Cr..) - every specimens without spots on pronotum... Georgi´s specimen have dilatation in 2/3 of elytra - its typical for A.biseriata, but A. biseriata have two longitudinal lines of elytral spots... I dont know.... Think, aedagus must out... !

All my saxicola are from different regions in Turkey, except saxicola minoa from Kriti. All my biseriata from Turkey. All ( saxicola and biseriata) without spots on pronotum. A.saxicola is smaller and exactly with elytral pattern of the specimens in this photo, while biseriata are larger and with two lines of elytral spots, exactly like yours. Could it be an Acmaeodera simulans with a strange elytral pattern?

I also thought about A.simulans, but this species has always the first two spots near suture at the base shield ( also A.sedemmactata) , even if it is otherwise reduced by coloration on the elytrons.... Think its common saxicola....( Lebanon form )
