Hello AdYRuicanescu,

this specimen is not Dicerca furcata. Take a look at the apex. Dicerca furcata has elytra with rounded apex. Your specimen seems to be Dicerca berolinensis or Dicerca alni. I prefer to Dicerca alni, but it is not definitly clear because the foto is not optimal and the specimen is a little bit dirty.

I will provide a new picture of this specimen, after I tried to clean it with a paintbrush with alcohol. I have a Dicerca furcata unfortunately unlabelled, got from a scholar collection and it is different. The problem is this specimen is different to D. alni too. It was collected in a northern area, where D. alni was never found. I will attach a picture of this Dicerca single and in beside of D. alni and D. furcata. Unfortunately this specimen is female, so I cannot get an aedoeagus. I hope to get helped in identification of this specimen. It can be a new species for Romania.

So, for the time being, I think it more prudent to modify the headline as Dicerca sp.

now you have seen that your specimen is definitly not Dicerca furcata, nevertheless in my opinion it is possible to find D. furcata in Romania, too. It must be there.

What kind of differences you have found between your specimen and the Dicerca alni you shown here? I can not find anything! Only the sex (you have already said) and the colour is different. I have also seen a lot of different species of Dicerca with nearly black colour (D. aenea, D. berolinensis, D. alni…). It is not extraordinary.
The pronotum and the apex of the elytra in both specimens have a little bit other form but this is normal variability.
In my opinion your specimen is Dicerca alni.

In my opinion, the apical part of the elytra is more "caudated", I have more D. alni, males and females, I ignore the color difference, but the sculpture of the elytra looks different. Actually the proportion of the apical tail and the rest of elytra appears to be different to the D. alni. I saw D. alni, D. berolinensis and D. aenea almost black too. I don't contradict with you, I just wanted to let you know what was determined me to think this is D. furcata. Another reason this specimen was collected in a northern part and montaignous area, in the
