I am absolutely not an expert of Carabus, but I see that there are 5 species in this subgenus. I have all of them in my collection, although not all the subspecies. Comparing the photograph with the specimens I have, I see that C. imitator and C. roseri seem to have very long and pointed basal lobes of the pronotum; C. staehlini seems to have a very short and rounded pronotum, therefore only C. koenigi and C. swaneticus remain. Of these two, C. swaneticus appears more stout and convex, while I seem to notice that the shape of the body of the specimen here photographed is only similar to the specimens I have of C. koenigi. The paleartic checklist says that this species is diffused in Georgia, so the area should be the same. So my guess is that this is Carabus (Pachycarabus) koenigi Ganglbauer, 1887.

Ciao Riccardo, the elytra rather elongated led me to hypothesize C. Roseri, but probably you're right, the very small basal lobes of the pronotum, vote in favor of C. Koenigi
