Ma secondo voi questo è un H. dimidiatus? le dimensioni sono le stesse, ma le elitre mi sembrano diverse....

Mah....Hypocaccus (Baeckmanniolus) dimidiatus dimidiatus (Illiger, 1807) ha una lunghezza che varia tra i 2,4 e i 4,5 mm.
(Ovviamente, come per tutti gli Histeridae, tale misura va presa dagli angoli anteriori del pronoto all'apice delle elitre)
A parte l'enorme differenza tra le due specie, credo che l'esemplare in foto, pur mettendoci dentro anche testa e pigidio, arriverà a un millimetro o appena poco di più.
Da quel poco che si riesce a vedere da queste foto, l'ipotesi più probabile è che possa trattarsi di

Halacritus punctum (Aubé, 1842)

Visto che ogni tanto di qua passa il buon Fabio, sentiamo cosa ne pensa anche lui! ;)

Purtroppo le protibie sono un po' sfuocate. Viste così, non mi sembrano di Paromalus, magari è una questione di prospettiva.
Però anche il pronoto mi pare un po' diverso, l'esemplare mi pare più "tozzo", la stria delle elitre mi sembra più obliqua e il colore, sempre che non ci siano dominanti nella foto, mi pare più rossiccio.

Stasera, durante una telefonata con l'amico Pierpaolo, fra le varie cose di cui abbiamo discusso, ci ho "infilato" anche questo post.
Anche lui propende per Halacritus.
Delphine, potresti indicare le dimensioni?

Ho ricevuto oggi una eppendorf con alcuni esemplari che gentilmente Delphine mi ha inviato.
A questo punto confermo la determinazione:

Halacritus punctum (Aubé, 1842)
Histeridae, Abraeinae, Acritini
