No doubt this is one of the most pretty example of the Noctuidae family. Usually imago can be found very early in the morning sitting on the Anchusa flowers or sitting near by. Photos of the moths in the nature were made by my friend Ognyan Sivilov, moth collected by Dr. Boyan Zlatkov in the end of May in SW Bulgaria. Just look at the moths resting on the Anchusa flowers !

True, really impressive species, not very big in fact and the photos in nature are stunning. Hope for next year to do pics by my self.

This year with my own pictures of Janthinea ! It is a bit difficult to see it. Any way : very strange, this species flies around Anchusa species, but it does not prefer virgin places, this species and the rest I found were found just 10-25m. from the highway near agricultural places. Enjoy :
