Biblio : Townes 1969 "The Genera of Ichneumonidae - Part 2"
-------
I had identified a
Nematopodius,
what is false.
Here is why :
This
Cryptinae belongs to the Tribe of
Mesostenini.
The characteristics of our capture are in particular :
- Areolet very small
- Areolet with IL & JN parallel or almost parallel [Attention : the drawing, which we joined, of the Areolet is not the one of our capture, but serves only to denominate the Veins]
- M is +/- in the center of LN
- Shape of the Tergite 1, of which Post-Petiole having its side margins almost parallel
- Shape of the Ovipositeur (
see our photo)
Only some species of 2 Genus have these characteristics :
Mesostenus &
NematopodiusThese differ in particular by the position of the spiracles of Tergite 1.
I have regrettably neglected this characteristic
Besides
our capture seems not to have an apical transverse Carina of Propodeum.
Now the drawings of
Townes show the presence of a such Carina in
Mesostenus, and its absence in
Nematopodius.
Of where my erroneous determination.

funebris was also captured in Italy
