a little remark ... "óros", as well as "voúni" or "voúno", means "mount", so it's unnecessary to repeat "mts. óssa óros"

I think it is mainly the size of the specimens!!

best name is probably this: Όσσα Όρος

che tradotto in italiano significa: Monte Ossa.

well, i just wished to say that, since "óros" means "mount", it's preferable to write either "mount óssa" or "óros óssa", but not both

the question posed by vinicio eurinomio is more puzzling... krueperi or intricatus krueperi?

prior to casale et al., some authors considered lefebvrei as distinct species from intricatus, with greek taxa (arcadicus, merlini and krueperi) as subspecies of lefebvrei

casale et al. treated all of them as distinct species... yet krueperi, contrary to arcadicus and merlini, appears more closely related to intricatus than to lefebvrei, and not so broadly isolated from the range of intricatus macedonicus, the latter reaching the katara pass, in contact with arcadicus

so that krueperi may well be (but also not be) a subspecies of intricatus, irrespective of being arcadicus and merlini species, subspecies of intricatus (i don't think so, at my (scarce ) knowledge, where macedonicus and arcadicus are in contact with each other, only occasional natural hybrids are to be found, not any kind of intermediate populations), or even subspecies of lefebvrei...
